At Alpha, we're currently on the lookout for top graduate talent to join our technology division, Alpha ATS (Alpha Technology Services) as a Graduate Developer.
For this role, you'll be trained in how to advise clients on the best technical solutions to meet their goals, while also implementing the software architecture for our extensive blue-chip client base, which includes leading global asset management firms such as BNP Baribas, Schroders and M&G Investments.
If your application is successful, you'll be joining our September 2020 graduate scheme intake and be given all the tools to hit the ground running.
Our graduate training programme
To kick-start your career at Alpha, you'll join our industry-leading training programme where you'll make an immediate impact by working in teams to deliver client projects of the highest quality. However, we understand that starting a graduate job can be daunting, so we help you to settle in through a range of activities.
After welcome week, you'll be equipped with a strong consulting toolkit, focusing on areas such as time management, presentation skills and stakeholder management.
We also dedicate time for you to spend with individual teams so you can get a feel for the practice areas we operate in at Alpha, while you'll get to meet colleagues in a more informal setting through internal training and social events.
Tailored one-on-one support is provided in the form of mentors, regular management catch ups and our buddy scheme, which helps new starters to settle in - you can ask anything, from work-related questions to what's going on socially. One day, you could be in their shoes welcoming new graduates to the company.
Once you complete the programme, we'll continue to support your learning and development by investing in your future. Time will be set aside for you to work towards qualifications that boost your industry knowledge while other training opportunities are available.
What you'll be doing
As a Graduate Developer, you'll get to work alongside leading asset and wealth management companies and use your technological expertise to turn their dreams into reality.
Graduates become key team members from the outset, providing a fresh way of thinking and approach to problem solving. You'll be working on a combination of technical strategy projects, large-scale implementation programmes or internal product development. Each project will be different, and they could vary in length from just a few weeks to over a year.
We encourage you to take on more responsibility when you believe you're ready. Graduates will soon become experts in the field and be able to consult with the most senior executives in the global asset management industry to help them achieve their goals.
