We are currently offering industrial placements for students to join our team of bright professionals in our Solihull and London offices for a period of 11-12 months.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student that is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Data Science to experience what we do and help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients
As part of your role, you will have various opportunities to assist colleagues in various offices across the region in preparing fire strategies, undertaking numerical analysis, building and running computer simulations (e.g. CFD), reviewing architectural plans against relevant fire safety design guidance, and visiting sites to monitor the implementation of fire strategies and learn about the installation and construction of fire safety systems.
Depending on performance, there may be an opportunity to receive a permanent offer of employment upon graduating.

What we are looking for
We encourage our Industrial Trainee Data Science to demonstrate drive and motivation, a willingness to learn about our sector, and a desire to effectively deliver an excellent service to our clients.
Data Analytics, Statistics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence methodologies and the online use of data is a rapid growth area and we want someone who can help to expand this further through innovative thinking, enthusiasm and vision. You should be keen to learn and develop your skills as you gain experience in new areas of work.
We are looking for the following qualifications, skills and attributes in you:
- You should have proven academic experience of utilising and deploying data solutions.
- An ability to assimilate new contexts rapidly, and to use various design techniques to help make sense of them, for colleagues, clients and collaborators.
- Graduating in Summer 2021
- Strong numerical skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Working towards a first degree and/or an MSc (or equivalent) in computer science, software development or a programming related course is required with a prediction of a 2:1 or higher
