Overall Purpose of role
Provide analytical and presentational support to a small but highly professional Category Management team working with high profile major retailers, primarily in UK and Ireland. This role will support the ARYZTA Market, Insight & Category team as a whole in delivering meaningful value adding insights to key strategic customers and to deliver sustainable growth for the business.

It also provides for the right, high calibre graduate, an excellent opportunity to be trained in professional Category Management principles and to work with leading food retailers.

Main duties and responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include the following outputs:

  • Regular analysis of current markets and customers to generate meaningful insights
  • Analysis of complex data set through data tools including Excel; Dunnhumby; IRI; and Kantar
  • Support on-going category management for key high profile ARYZTA customers
  • Collates and synthesises other third party data and reports to provide meaningful insights
  • Interacts and presents meaningful Insights to internal stake-holders, customers and prospects where appropriate
  • Regular support monitoring of trends (economic, retail, category; competitor)
  • Works with and helps manage third part data providers and contracts
  • Provides support into ad-hoc studies (e.g. analysis of potential acquisition targets and market entries) and support with market research where required
  • Works with internal commercial and product teams to drive market and consumer led business activity

Excellent IT skills

  • Expert level of Excel skills
  • Expert level of PowerPoint skills
  • Willingness and capability, with training, to become expert in third party data provider tools, including those of Dunnhumby, IRI and Kantar. Understand key business and marketing levers and processes

Strong team player

  • Calm team player who works well under pressure
  • Prepared to put in whatever it takes to get the job done, every time
  • Ability to handle and prioritise conflicting pressures from customers and internal stake holders
  • Extremely hard working, diligent and committed


  • Business level French and/or German would be an additional advantage
