Graduate Software Tester

Job description

Our people-centred culture combined with our tech and data expertise makes us one of the UK’s leading companies and a great place to start your career as a Graduate Software Tester.

We work in a fast-paced, agile environment which means collaboration is vital. We’ve adopted the tribe and squad structure, with each tribe focusing on a different customer group, product or service which in turn determines the technologies used in the squad. Our squads are typically made up of technical, product and delivery leads, UX designers, software testers and data analysts and developers (Java/JavaScript/Python).

You will help deliver great products for our customers using a variety of software testing techniques including exploratory, cross-browser and non-functional, with a focus on the implementation of automated functional and non-functional tests and monitoring. Using tools such as Selenium, NightwatchJs, Espresso and Xcode UI tests.

We’re looking for Graduates who are extremely curious with a deep interest in technology, who want to be part of an agile, fast-paced, collaborative and customer first culture. You’ll be a creative thinker, with a strong problem-solving ability. You naturally want to know about the latest tech, maybe attend a university or meet-up or two and love working through a technical challenge with friends. We’d love to see examples of your projects.

All our graduates start their journey at our in-house academy. You don't have to be a car enthusiast to work here so upon joining; we'll grow your knowledge of the automotive industry, so you can truly understand our customers and what we do as a business. Throughout the two-year programme, you will split your time between developing your testing skills in a squad and building your commercial and industry knowledge in our in-house graduate academy. This blend of learning will ensure you are genuinely rounded in both your technical and commercial skills, so you can be sure your technical decisions will truly be customer-centric. We’ll support this further with boot camps, hacks, conferences, graduate network and one-to-one coaching and mentoring. As you progress through the programme, you’ll be invited to support our community through STEM Ambassador initiatives, mentoring and community hacks.

Our graduate programme starts in September 2019.

What we are looking for

Our dedication is to ensure you get the chance to be the best that you can be, showcase your full potential and make the right choice for you.
