Advanced Manufacturing Graduate Programme

Job description

Advanced Manufacturing is a growing area in our business which covers many areas and projects. Over the course of two years, you’ll get to experience the breadth of our work. The possibilities are incredibly varied. There’s the chance to be involved in the high integrity, complex engineering at the core of our Manufacturing business, as well engage with the digitisation and technologies for our future projects and customers.

Where you can join us
Your home base will be Rosyth Dockyard, but some of your placements may be at other Marine sector locations. As many of our programmes are available at more than one location you will have the opportunity, at the end of the online application form, to select a second and/or third choice location that you would want your application to be considered for.

What you'll be doing
You’ll work closely with our production engineering and technical services teams, looking at modern manufacturing techniques, processes and advances associated with Industry 4.0 (e.g. Automation, Smart Sensors, Real-time Data Capture and Analytics, Virtual/Augmented Reality and more). There’s also scope for you to think up ingenious ways of improving our current processes, alongside the opportunity to work with our precision machining and high integrity manufacturing team. As for our innovation projects? Whether it’s internal or one of our collaborations with external research institutions, you’ll have the chance to make a real contribution to them.

What you'll get out of it
You’ll get a proper overview of what we do, which will help you figure out what you love and what you’re good at. Which means at the end of the programme, you can make an informed decision about where to take your career. You’ll also be rewarded with a competitive starting salary.
