Job description

By joining Bakkavor’s Commercial Sales and Management training programme, you’ll not only be embarking on a rewarding career at the heart of food manufacturing. You’ll gaining exceptional all-round experience along with the opportunity to shape the future of our business.

From day one, you’ll contribute to key business projects and add value to your team. Over two 12-month placements, we’ll give you valuable exposure to a variety of business areas. And we’ll get you liaising with our customers, which include many of the biggest names in retail. You’ll start as an Account Executive, supporting our Commercial Managers and Category Managers. After two years, you’ll become an Account Manager for one of our major accounts. We’ll expect you to become a Commercial Manager within five years.

As well as a salary of £24,500, you’ll receive an additional £1000 payment when you start, plus another £1000 if you successful complete your first year. We’ll also cover the costs for two weeks B&B or rent, plus reasonable removal costs. Our sites are located throughout the UK and your placements could take you from the south of England to Scotland. There may even be the chance to work in one of our international sites. So you’ll need to be flexible.

Person requirements

  • You’re confident speaking to customers, numerate, analytical and PC savvy.

Qualifications and experience requirements

  • You’ll need or be on track to achieve a 2:1 business, marketing, economics or food related degree. Ideally you also have a year’s experience in marketing or sales, preferably in the food industry.
