Bakkavor Group is a leading manufacturer of freshly prepared foods. We’re specialists in developing own-brand products for many of the world’s biggest grocery retailers and best-known food service operators. We make over 5,500 different products. Our UK customers include Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda and Morrisons. Internationally, we work with brands including Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Pizza Hut and Target.

Join us and you’ll influence what the nation will be eating in the months and years ahead. Working both independently and as part of a team, you’ll develop new and innovative products – by mixing, matching and evolving flavours across new food trends. You’ll by trained and supported by experienced and talented chefs, who’ll give you the freedom to flourish while challenging your ideas. And we’ll help you to gain an all-round understanding of manufacturing, from start to finish.

As well as a salary of £24,500, you’ll receive an additional £1000 payment when you start, plus another £1000 if you successful complete your first year. We’ll also cover the costs for two weeks B&B or rent, plus reasonable removal costs. Our sites are located throughout the UK and your placements could take you from the south of England to Scotland. There may even be the chance to work in one of our international sites. So you’ll need to be flexible.

You’ll work in three placements across different business units, while receiving fully funded training for the CIPD Professional Development Scheme. We’ll give you core skills in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employment law, pay management, development and succession. The experience you gain will prepare you for a key HR management role within five years of joining.

Qualifications and experience requirements

You’ll need a 2:1 Honours degree – ideally in business, human resource management or a related degree – or relevant work experience. To thrive here you’ll need to combine your excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with a business-focused approach. The pace is fast, so you’ll need excellent organisational skills too.
