Discover Bakkavor if you’re looking for a career that gives you real accountability and an incredible level of variety. We use materials, labour and equipment to create thousands of food products every day. Your challenge will be to get them all together in the right place, in the right quantity – to be delivered at the right time.
Our Manufacturing Programme
You’ll work in two 12-month placements, doing real jobs with a varied product portfolio and different customers. You’ll spend some time focusing on Logistics, Planning or Engineering. And you’ll also take responsibility for managing operators on a line. In addition to on-the-job coaching and mentoring, you’ll experience training in subjects such as presentation skills, intelligent manufacturing, leadership and management. After two years, we’ll expect you to be working as a Supervisor or Section Manager, setting you up for a future senior operations role. You’ll also gain an all-round understanding of manufacturing, as there’s more than meets the eye to be able to get the food from farm to fork!
What we offer
As well as a salary of £24,500, you’ll receive an additional £1000 payment when you start, and your salary is reviewed after completing your first year with us. We’ll also cover the costs for 2 weeks B&B or rent, plus reasonable removal costs. Our sites are located throughout the UK and your placements could take you from the south of England to Scotland. There may even be the chance to work in one of our international sites so you’ll need to show great flexibility. That’s where Zenith comes in! One monthly cost gets you a brand new car of your choice and insurance, along with all the extras to get you on the road at a cheaper rate. We also believe a good work life balance is a must. That’s why you’re able to buy an additional 5 days on top the 25 days holiday as standard. Becoming a Bakkavor employee also gives you exclusive access to our platform that gives hundreds of discounts across the major retailers. We also invite first year graduates to get involved with fund raising for the Princes Countryside Fund as a chance to build relations with our fellow graduates and the local community.
Our graduate scheme is for people who can think bigger and grow faster. We created it to develop the future-leaders and shapers of our business.
