You would form part of an experienced management team with responsibilities for process control and cost control, continual improvement, team leadership, training and mentoring, budget management, strategic planning and execution, cost reduction, performance analysis, inventory control, target setting and practical problem solving.
Responsibilities include managing the production area so that work areas are clean and safe, empowering teams to be motivated and enabled to perform their work on time, to the right quality and at the right cost, lead KPI's based on performance measurement and improvement (plan, do, check, act), in particular, health, safety and environment, productivity, quality and responsiveness.
You will have personnel and disciplinary responsibility and will work to enable teams to perform high quality work, ensures adequate resource planning and competence development and ensure that committed targets are achieved. Acts as a role model for Health, Safety & Environment and fosters AES (Achieving Excellent Standards) deployment and improvement by regular information and communication on all levels.
Manufacturing's main responsibility is to realise the product for the customer through efficient preparation and execution of manufacturing activities. It is an integral part of the Bid process in defining manufacturing strategy and working with engineering to ensure that product designs have the maximum chances of being produced flawlessly afterwards.
As a graduate within Manufacturing you will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals in various areas of manufacturing helping to maintain a flawless execution of our projects. To achieve high quality in all our products, increasing and maintaining productivity through continuous improvement strategies, developing a broad range of skills as you see our product materialise.
You will join a two year intensive training programme with a series of placements, throughout manufacturing. Placements typically include: production, technical services, Quality and plant engineering. Throughout these you will gain the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques we use to ensure the flawless repair and overhaul of our products.
Joining the team in Crewe will mean working on real assignments and gaining hands-on experience with responsibility from day one. You will have a chance to build a personal network within the wider business in order to develop overall business awareness, share best practice and foster cross functional working.
With an experienced mentor to guide you and undertaking a variety of training modules, you will work towards gaining a professional qualification while also building both technical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and experience requirements
- You will need a minimum 2:1 in an engineering or manufacturing discipline, with excellent analytical skills and a passion for making things happen.
