Job description

You will join a two year intensive training programme with a series of placements around the business, providing a firm foundation in the application of procurement knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. Placements typically include the different functions within procurement and in functions that have a close relationship with procurement.

Joining the team in Derby will mean working on real assignments and gaining hands-on experience with responsibility from day one. You will have a chance to build a personal network within the wider business in order to develop overall business awareness, share best practice and foster cross functional working.

With an experienced mentor to guide you and undertaking a variety of training modules, you will work towards gaining a professional qualification while also building both technical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and experience requirements

  • You will need a minimum 2:1 degree in a business related subject, with excellent analytical skills, commercial acumen, creative thinking and strong leadership qualities.
