You will join a two-year intensive training programme with a series of placements around the business, providing a firm foundation in the application of Supply Chain knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. Placements typically include the different functions within Supply Chain and in functions that have a close working relationship with Supply Chain.
The Supply Chain team at Crewe is responsible for ensuring top class Supplier delivery performance, a lean logistics system with minimal waste in the supply chain, enhances business cash flow through efficient inventory management which includes a robust purchase order management process. As a part of the Supply Chain team, you would also be driving the inventory turns of the Crewe Business unit, make continual improvements in the supply chain, set-up materials for new projects in liaison with the Methods department and improve overall effectiveness of the supply chain.
You would be reporting to the Head of Production Control and working within the teams of Supply Chain co-ordinators, Production Planners and Logistics team members. Joining the team in Crewe will mean working on real assignments and gaining hands-on experience with responsibility from day one. You will have a chance to build a personal network within the wider business to develop overall business awareness, share best practice, learn problem solving and foster cross functional working.
With an experienced Mentor to guide you and undertaking a variety of training modules, you will work towards gaining a professional qualification while also building both technical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and experience requirements
- You will need a minimum 2:1 degree in a business related subject, with excellent analytical skills, commercial acumen, creative thinking and strong leadership qualities.
