Visual Merchandising Graduate Scheme

Job description

Global Brands is a cross divisional organisation that sits within Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA). We aim to give WBA retail businesses as well as global partners a sustainable competitive advantage by combining great brands and innovative products with unparalleled commercial expertise and consumer insight. Global Brands is comprised of three pillars:

  • Global insights and best practice
  • Global consumer brands
  • Global sourcing and supply

They all work in close partnership together to ensure a collaborative, successful and truly global platform provides the business a clear competitive advantage. Products in the Global Brands portfolio include Soltan, No 7, Well at Walgreens, Soap & Glory, Liz Earle and Boots Pharmaceuticals

The importance of the Programme
We take our Early Careers development very seriously. We’ve got a long history of running successful graduate programmes and we really want to help you gain some valuable experience in a business that will give you a springboard into your career.

Our two-three year structured graduate scheme combines critical on the job experiences alongside a development programme that builds your self-awareness and leadership potential, gives you access to senior leaders and an opportunity to work on real business challenges.

You’ll start your journey within one of our UK stores. This will help you to understand the heart of our business and the part you’ll play in making our customers feel good.

What you’ll be doing on the Programme
In Visual Merchandising, the consumer is at the centre of every decision. As a graduate, you will support the Visual Merchandising team in ensuring that our Brand Visual identity is implemented in all permanent merchandising and will contribute to maximising the use and value of visual merchandising levers across all retailers. You will support key activities such as rebuilds, new furniture development / adaptation, market rollouts and new product launches, ensuring at all times that the brand is presented in our store environments in a way that ensures it is desirable to our shoppers, and is both inspirational and easy to navigate. You will facilitate the sharing across markets of best practice. Your ability to manage multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will your ability to work seamlessly within a global matrix.

What you’ll gain on the Programme
We know how tough it can be getting your first job out of university, and we really want to help you do that in the best way possible

  • Two-three years of accelerated development within the Global Consumer Brands community
  • Fast track career into a Visual Merchandising or Shopper Marketing position at the end of the scheme
  • One-to-one mentor programme with our senior leaders
  • Personalised professional development
