The energy industry is undergoing some of the biggest changes it has ever seen. In an age defined by the impact of global expansion, technological acceleration and climate change, the sector needs to evolve if it’s to meet the world’s ever-changing needs. Which is something that BP and all its employees have committed to, in our pledge to keep advancing.

We’re the global company that is leading the transition to a lower carbon future. We each play a part in progressing the way we deliver heat, light and mobility to the world. From finding, developing and producing oil and gas resources, to refining, manufacturing and selling related products directly to customers and multiple markets, we’re here to keep everybody moving. All while developing innovative ways to lower emissions, overcome challenges and protect the future of energy.

It takes a diverse group of ambitious people to help BP create the real change the world needs. So you can expect to find experts ranging from engineers, automotive specialists, geoscientists and chemists to accountants, analysts, technologists and traders. Working together as one team, we explore new possibilities and make pioneering breakthroughs that shape our understanding of energy.

Our graduate and internship opportunities give promising talent from all backgrounds the chance to make a real impact through the work we do. All while offering the support you need to keep expanding your potential. These programmes are designed to give you a platform to become business leaders, prolific scientists or ground-breaking engineers. It provides the scope to bring something new to any stage of the energy lifecycle and to build a challenging, varied career.

For graduates, we offer a two- or three-year programme that will give you a full range of skills and experience. While paid 11-week and year-long internships offer hands-on business experience to undergraduates or postgraduates who are about to start the final year of their degree or PhD.

Whatever role or discipline you choose, you’ll be welcomed into an inclusive environment that focuses on teamwork, respect and ambition just as much as academic achievements. And safety is a priority as we develop the energy of tomorrow. To find out what that really looks like, go to BP’s website and hear from some of the interns and graduates who live it every day.
