Our HR team ensure that we’re always evolving as an industry leader by developing world-class learning programmes and anticipating the demand for new skills and talent. We need HR representatives with the confidence to step into a business facing role who have an interest in and understanding of the industry to help us continue to drive our business forward. Our BP HR graduate development challenge programme will give you the responsibility, training and support that you need to take your HR career to the next level.
Supporting our people’s development is what makes us one of the industry’s best workplaces. With a variety of training courses you’ll rotate through a three-year programme, splitting your time between two exciting and challenging business facing and specialist roles. You’ll take on real responsibility and gain exposure to the HR challenges we face every day. We’ll guide you every step of the way with an experienced mentor and graduate level buddy. By the end of your programme, you’ll be amazed by how far you’ve come. And as exhilarating as all this may seem, it will just be the start of your BP experience.

The precise nature of your role will be determined by your skills as well as the needs of the business but your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Attracting and retaining the best talent to maintain our position as an industry leader
- Creating programmes and reward schemes to continue individual and collective development
- Acting as a main point of contact regarding HR sub disciplines
- Ensuring our commitment to doing the right thing stays at the core of everything we do

Qualifications and experience requirements
- A minimum of a 2.1 degree in any discipline
- You must be in your final year of your degree or you must have already graduated
- You must be able to articulate a strong rationale for why you want to pursue a career in HR and demonstrate your understanding of HR in a strategic organisation via the research you have conducted
- You must also demonstrate exposure to the field of HR via study, voluntary activity or work experience
