Graduate Software Consultant

Job description

Next summer, you will enter our four month Dojo program, which will transform what you learned in college into skills necessary to become a seasoned engineer and leader. Through classes and exercises, our top execs and technical experts will teach you what we do and how we do it. Your Dojo experience culminates with you building a project as a part of a team to create and release a brand new Broadway product to our customers. No pet projects. No toiling independently. Our business is growing at a rate where we need your immediate contribution. After exiting the Dojo program, you’ll work directly on the frontlines.

  • Design, develop, and release sophisticated applications for mission-critical, high performance distributed trading systems
  • Customize Broadway’s highly configurable products to assemble novel solutions that achieve client business objectives, putting yourself on the forefront of our R&D efforts
  • Extend system capabilities though implementation of distributed system components in Python, C#, Java, and/or JavaScript
  • Be 100% responsible for successful solution launches, including deployment of new releases to production, active adoption by customer users, and smooth hand-offs to client services / support and account management
  • Perform business analysis through interaction with customer users (traders, developers, quants, technology and business managers), developing expertise in customer workflows, objectives, and how our technology will best deliver value (including developing technical requirements)

What we are looking for

  • Results-oriented individual with a tremendous ownership mindset who can navigate and problem solve independently through people, process, and technology challenges; transcends mere customer satisfaction and task completion to deliver true customer success
  • Dynamic communicator and relationship builder who instills confidence among multiple, diverse external and internal stakeholders, proactively conveys status and escalates when necessary
  • Highly curious about both business and technology strategies, processes, and objectives; pushes past a surface level understanding to gain a granular command of a variety of different ecosystems, translating effectively across business and technical boundaries
  • Team player who openly shares information, helps others, and is open to new ideas and “going the extra mile” when needed
  • Excellent grasp of software engineering principles with and experience at least one of the following languages: Python, C#, Java, or C++ (or a demonstrated history of mastering multiple modern programming languages such as C, Perl, Ruby, and/or JavaScript)

Continual academic achievement with a minimum 2.1 degree in a relevant field (technology / computer science)

Accepted degree subjects

  • computer sciences and IT
  • electronic and electrical engineering
