Apprentice - Data Analyst - Level 6 Digital & Technology Solutions Professional

Job description

You’re not just looking for a career, you’re looking to make a difference.

Millions of people rely on us every day to help them live their lives, power their businesses, and keep their public services running. We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding. And we use the power of technology to help solve big challenges, like climate change and cyber security.

From day one, you’ll have a voice at BT Group. You’ll get stuck in to tough challenges, pitch in with ideas, make things happen. You won’t be alone: we’ll be there with help and support, learning and development. You’ll make great friends, discover new talents, and feel part of something exhilarating.

This is your chance to make a real difference to the world. Grab it.

What you'll be doing

We might be best known as a broadband company, but there’s much more to us than that. Technology is our powerhouse, helping us stay ahead of the competition. By combining our passion for customer experience and our desire to be at the forefront of development, we’re leading a technological revolution for our customers.

As Data Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in our Data & AI Team, driving new digital experiences for our customers in new markets, transforming our architecture and developing industry leading capabilities to forecast, model and drive data driven decision making in Network Services Operations underpinning BT's fixed, mobile and TV networks. We’re stripping out unnecessary complexity for customers and colleagues and introducing agile methodologies.

As a data analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in our Data Team.

We aren’t expecting you to be an expert right away, so we’ll make sure you can learn the ropes from one of our experienced colleagues. You’ll learn all about new technologies and how they work with our existing capabilities. Gradually, we’ll help you build up your technical knowledge so you can help deliver a robust digital transformation.

Plus, you’ll learn all about multitasking; we’ll be keeping you busy on a range of different projects at once, so it’s key you can prioritise and take initiative.

This role is available in the Networks part of our business.

Entry requirements

3 A-Levels (minimum of BBB grades) or BTEC equivalent; one should be a STEM subject. 4 GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.

Training

As a Data Analyst Degree Apprentice, you’ll study for a Level 6 Digital & Technology Solutions Professional apprenticeship with Data Analytics specialism. This is an apprenticeship degree course and on successful completion, you’ll receive a degree from one of our university partners (completion is required to retain the role).

The degree course runs for four years and is a work-based learning degree. You’ll spend a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying.
