Ski Concierge Attendant

Job description

As a Ski Concierge, you would be responsible for assisting the guests in their mountains activities and equipment and providing a consistent and high quality of service.

Duties and responsibilities (included but are not limited to):

  • Provide information regarding services available at the Resort Whistler, including hours of operation and directions for all outlets (F&B, Gift Shop, Concierge, Spa, etc.), identification of key personnel and address general questions
  • Guide the guest to services outside the resort, not provided by the resort. This includes a detailed understanding of Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Resort and its operations
  • Keep the Ski Concierge and Front Office Manager informed of guest problems or complaints and of the action taken
  • Keep other members of the staff apprised of information and situations
  • Provide the proper and safe operation and care of all ski shop equipment
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and report all Guest injuries and actions taken to Ski Concierge Manager and the Security department immediately
  • Work closely with the bell attendants and guest Services staff to ensure smooth handling of guests’ equipment and special requests
  • Display a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with guests, employees and outside contacts
  • Follow proper ski check procedures and storage of guests and shop equipment
  • Report equipment malfunctions promptly and accurately
  • Supplement cleaning performed by Housekeeping by touching up counters, floors and other areas as necessary
  • Handle lost and found items
  • Respond properly in any resort emergency or safety situation
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Base Camp/Resort Management staff

What we are looking for

  • We are looking for hospitality professionals with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, have a passion for service and people. Flexibility will be needed to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Valid passport holder
  • 18-35 years old
    • Previous experience in hotel is desired but not essential
    • Previous experience in a health or fitness related position is desired but not essential
    • Intermediate level or above of skiing or snowboarding required
    • Good knowledge in English (written, spoken and reading)
    • Strong commitment to service
