Work America

Job description

Work America applications are now open for 2020.

Make your summer full of stars and stripes on our popular Work America programme. BUNAC are experts in work and travel abroad. They've been doing it for 55 years, and it's time for you to join the revolution. BUNAC will help you find your dream summer job placement in the USA, whilst providing you full support with getting your J-1 visa and insurance options.

But what is the Work America programme?

Well, it's hugely popular for a reason. Work America offers you the fantastic opportunity to work in an ordinary job in an extraordinary location. Next summer you could be serving delicious mains in Maine, working in an ultra cool All-American diner in North Carolina or popping corks in a hip bar in New York.

You can choose from two patriotic programmes on Work America, all come with our expert J-1 visa and job finding assistance:

Essentials – Our Essentials jobs are pretty diverse. Fancy spending your summer working at an amusement park in Maryland or a beachfront restaurant in North Carolina?

Ultimate – Return flights to the USA and accommodation costs included! You could find yourself working at one of the country’s most high end resorts and country clubs.

What happens after my summer job finishes?

Just like our Summer Camp USA programme, you get up to 30 days of travel afterwards to explore every mile of the USA. So grab your mates and hit the road, adventure awaits.

What we are looking for

The programme is available for full-time university students as a once in a lifetime chance to get your hands on the golden J1 visa, and we promise it's worth it. You'll come back home from a perfect summer with best friends and best memories for life.
