We are currently looking for 10 recent graduates to join our scheme early in 2018 with opportunities across six different functions. This is a two-year programme where successful individuals will have the opportunity to be exposed to and contribute to a wide range of projects and initiatives.
You will receive extensive practical support and mentoring while making an invaluable contribution to supporting the aims and goals of the organisation. With a structured learning programme and the potential to gain a professionally accredited qualification, Cafcass’ Graduate Development programme offers a great first career step.
Cafcass has had great success with this programme in the past, with previous graduates reporting the scheme provided an excellent opportunity to learn and develop and that it acted as an excellent basis for their career, which for many included staying with Cafcass beyond the initial two years.
The National Improvement Service (NIS) is a national department focusing on improving the quality of work in Cafcass by delivering training, auditing and responding to serious incidents. The graduates that join this team will be responsible for coordinating projects focusing on improving the output of the department.
Within NIS we have two graduate posts that will primarily focus on:
- Evidencing the impact of NIS work, including the evaluation of learning and development programmes and supporting the internal audit processes
- Data management, analysis and reporting that will cover several key initiatives to support the digitisation of NIS processes

Qualifications and experience requirements
We have no preference for what your degree should be in but expect your degree and/or work/volunteer experience to evidence excellent written and analytical skills.
Regardless of the specific role you want to apply for you will have:
- Graduated in 2016 or 2017
- Hold a 2:1 degree or higher
Accepted degree subjects
Potential to rise to £22,500 after 12 months plus £4,332 London weighting if applicable.
Leeds · London
The successful candidates are likely to be based from our London (Bloomsbury) or Leeds offices. We may be able to consider other locations but the availability of / proximity to another suitable Cafcass office as well as the role requirements may mean this is not possible.
