Job description

We are currently recruiting for Construction Graduates to join us in September 2018. We have offices in Scotland, the Midlands and the South East of England and are currently in the midst of a very exciting period of growth with the aim of building 2,500 homes by 2020. The roles could be based in any of our eight regions and you must be willing to relocate to join the graduate programme.

The graduate programme offers a unique opportunity to start your career in one of our regional businesses and develop your own skills through our two-year graduate training programme which will include a rotational aspect across disciplines. You will join one of the UK’s top 10 National House Builders and will be given real responsibilities as soon as you join the business and see a tangible difference from the contributions you make. You will be supported and welcomed into a positive, friendly and respectful culture.

Under the guidance of the construction management team, you will be involved in managing sub-contractors by giving them clear direction and clarifying expectations in all aspects of site delivery. You will learn about all site resources including labour, plant and materials as well as on-site health and safety and client customer service.

You will participate in and create a culture where operatives recognise risks to prevent issues arising, ultimately working towards a proactive response rather than a reactive system. You will ensure that Health and Safety standards are maintained through a constant checking process and you will be confident in taking immediate corrective action if you witness a breach of the CALA guidelines.

Communication skills are paramount to ensure that the necessary teams are kept up to date with any changes on the site. As a Construction Graduate you will also be expected to take ownership of issues and ensure they are dealt with promptly. You must appreciate the importance of excellent customer satisfaction and resolving customer service issues.

If you are passionate about quality, enjoy working as a team, take pride in your work and want to be a part of something exciting, please complete the online application form found on the graduate pages of our website.
