You will be joining a large business area working for our largest UK public sector client working with inspiring experts from which you can learn and enjoy the career opportunities this brings, as well as joining a large community of Graduates and Apprentices across the business
You will be working towards a full-time job and studying towards a degree apprenticeship with Aston University on our flagship BSC (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions. It’s a 4.5-year course in which you will have an initial 8 weeks upfront accelerated learning environment at Aston university, then study part-time whilst doing your full-time role. You will cover many industry standard technologies and cover modules such as problem-solving, mathematics for computing, systems analysis, and design and human-computer interaction. The degree includes a final stage project in conjunction with Capgemini’s business.
Alongside your degree programme we will also provide you with an accelerated approach in your role at Capgemini, providing significant technical training and a soft skills training programme to ensure both personal and technical growth. You’ll be part of the team that delivers and transforms our client’s existing technology services and creates brand new services. You will want to put the client experience first. With a mix of new technologies and legacy technologies, you’re learning curve will be significant. This mix and the role you’ll play in delivering new solutions to our client, makes this a unique and exciting opportunity, you’ll be understanding the complexities of how our services are designed, then migrating onto developing those systems using our DevOps approach. You will gain experience across all systems as well as the full software development lifecycle. There are many technical challenges from a live support perspective and interesting projects to get involved with including design and development of new features and enhancements.
This is a hybrid working role, you should expect to be in our Telford office 2 or 3 days a week, which is a fantastic modern building not only from a collaborative working perspective, but there is also a restaurant, rest and leisure zones, Prayer room, EV chargers, a state of the art 24hr Gym and golf nets, recently refurbished roof gardens where you can be a part of our ‘Turf you out’ gardening scheme. Eligibility
To be eligible, you need:
Seven GCSEs A*-C including maths and English (4-9); plus one of the following: three A*-C at A-level (note: AS Levels are not included); completed Advanced Apprenticeship or BTEC (Pass, Pass, Distinction minimum)
These roles require BPSS and SC Security clearance. To meet the clearance requirements, you will need to;
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
- Be resident in the UK for the past five years
- Have spent no more than three consecutive months outside the UK in that period
If you cannot meet these criteria, we may not be able to consider you for this role.
