Chartered Accountant Studentship

Job description

Graduate training vacancy in a City based Accountancy practice providing study package for the Chartered Accountancy qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

On our ICAEW Approved training scheme, the position includes day-release with ICAEW approved tuition providers. Along the way, training and support including coaching and mentoring will be provided.

In addition to the study package, wide and varied on the job training will be provided. This includes experience in the following areas:

  • Audit of private companies, AIM listed companies and charities
  • Preparation of financial statements in UK and international frameworks
  • Support on specialist financial reporting work
  • Transaction support and corporate finance work
  • Dealing with corporate tax matters of clients

What we are looking for

Applicants should possess sound analytical ability combined with good oral and written communications skills. Confidence with figures is essential, as is a genuine interest in business and financial reporting. Applicants will be expected to act with integrity and honesty in all areas of their work.

Accounting experience is advantageous, but not essential.
