The two-year deltatre graduate scheme supports the development of the very best aspiring graduates. It offers the opportunity to assist in innovative technologies that provide clients with a set of services that enrich the experience of every sporting fan in the world. This graduate scheme is a unique and exciting opportunity for any graduate who is looking to work with innovative technologies on high profile projects within the sports technology industry.
As a graduate at deltatre, you will spend time in all areas of the business, with three-month placements in each of the departments listed below, and six months in a department of your choice. From day one, you will be given real responsibilities on cutting edge projects and you’ll receive full training on our bespoke systems.
A passion for technology and a keen interest in sport is critical for you to hit the ground running. You will be mentored for the duration of the scheme by experienced deltatre staff, and quickly develop a unique insight into the exciting world of sports technology.

deltatre is a sports digital media company, striving for the next level of interaction by using pioneering technologies. We offer global audiences immersive, multi-dimensional sporting coverage that delivers levels of engagement never before experienced.
Online Digital Operations and Technical
The web and applications team at deltatre are responsible for the digital deliveries of the company. This includes website and application development for several high profile sporting clients including UEFA, FIFA, C4, European Tour, Fox, Star Sports, Sky Sports, Premier League and England Rugby. A full project life cycle is provided from conception to design, development, testing and maintenance. As part of this service the team also provide digital media consultancy on overall strategy, social media, mobile and tablet applications, SEO and analytics.
Onstage Results and Graphics
The deltatre television graphics team provide results and graphics services to several high profile sport federations and broadcasters in the UK and Europe including BBC Sport, ITV Sport and Premier League Productions. Using the latest software and hardware, we create innovative and dynamic graphics that incorporate comprehensive data to enhance the experience for the viewing audience.
The team is responsible for the technical build of graphics, as well as providing user friendly, functional templates for use on live and post production operations across a number of projects. The team work on live broadcast events, providing onsite technical support as well as operating the graphics on-air.
Onstage Results Operations (Manchester)
When the BBC moved to Salford, deltatre opened an office in MediaCityUK to continue with the provision of studio operations. Since 2004, deltatre has provided the results and graphics services for all of BBC Sport’s football programming, including live matches and shows. deltatre hardware, including the Central Results System and d3D Graphics System are used to deploy these operations. We also maintain and run the BBC Augmented Reality System that creates virtual graphics to significantly change the look and feel of the studio for viewers.
Backstage Video Operations and Technical
The video team provide advanced web based tools to manage sport media assets, from ingest to logging, editing and live video streaming. This includes producing the live mobile and web highlights for all of UEFA’s UCL competitions and UEFA’s online video streaming. The video team ran the production and delivery of fast turnaround video highlights for the IRB during the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Similarly, they produced and delivered web and mobile highlights for Channel 4’s Paralympic Games coverage.
Commercial and Marketing
The commercial team is responsible for managing all major commercial sales activities within the business, as well as controlling the financial aspects of major projects. This includes identifying and delivering new revenue opportunities from existing clients, sourcing and developing new clients, account management, identifying key market trends and strategically developing potential sales leads.
All Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK for the duration of the scheme.
- Object-oriented programming (at least one of); C#, C++, Objective-C, Java
- Hardware and software network aspects
- Familiarity with digital and broadcast (TV) graphics production
- Familiarity with digital video production
- Operating systems including Windows and Mac OS
Candidates are expected to have well developed skills including the following:

Qualifications and experience requirements
Minimum grade of 2:1 in any subject area
