Graduate Programme – Human Resources

Job description

Deutsche Bank provides commercial and investment banking, retail banking, transaction banking and asset and wealth management products and services to corporations, governments, institutional investors, small and medium-sized businesses, and private individuals. We are Germany’s leading bank, with a strong position in Europe and a significant presence in the Americas and Asia Pacific.

About your programme
Our programme is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to immediately add value and contribute to meeting the needs of our world-class clients. You’ll join your regional classmates across all business areas for orientation where you’ll hear from executive board members directly regarding the future of the bank. Following this, best-in-class product trainers will give you an unrivalled introduction to our business and the industry. You’ll build a broad knowledge base and hone your skills through immersive classroom and online modules that are built around you.

About Human Resources
Working in markets around the world, our people make us strong. They are Deutsche Bank. Without Human Resources, we’d be unable to source, develop and retain the best talent, or apply the strategies that motivate their performance.

We have a key role in the transition to a culture that aligns risks and rewards, attracts and develops talented individuals, fosters teamwork and partnership, and makes a positive contribution to the countries in which we operate.

Our people in Human Resources find and recruit the brightest talent. They develop their skills by providing them with structured, on-going training. They give every single member of our staff the chance to achieve their career goals and make their work exceptionally rewarding.

Your role
Working on our day-to-day business or on challenging, business-critical projects, you will acquire a broad knowledge of different areas within your first year. You’ll spend about three months in each of your four rotations and your tasks will vary according to your precise role. You might be giving employee advice, facilitating workforce decisions or working on large-scale initiatives. The programme also provides you with exposure outside of HR that will broaden your understanding of the processes and operational areas within the bank. As part of your continuous development, you’ll be involved in a global project that you’ll be asked to present back to the senior HR management team. You will learn from the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation upon which to specialise later.
