Operational Analytics and Research Graduate Programme

Job description

Take on unique business challenges and help our clients prepare for tomorrow. All while embarking on a career journey you can own, shape and grow.

“I’ve been able to work on projects from the very beginning using a variety of new tools and technologies along the way, with support from my colleagues and training courses to guide me through.” – Luke, Operational Analytics and Research Graduate

About the programme

Our clients are always looking for ways to make optimum use of their physical assets, from workforce to machinery and more. We utilise advanced analytics and Operational Research techniques to help them find ways to do this. As a member of this team, you can expect to be immersed in a fast-paced learning environment – where you’ll enjoy every opportunity to build a better working world alongside colleagues who will push you to reach your full potential.

What will you be doing?

  • Using innovative techniques like simulation, machine learning, scenario modelling and visualisation.
  • Working directly with clients and as part of large EY teams in their offices or at EY.
  • Learning on the job from senior colleagues as well as through structured learning.

How is it structured?

Jump straight into learning how we use data modelling practices and methodologies. You’ll soon start working on client projects as part of a team and will take in a lot of new professional technology knowledge. Whilst the role is London or Manchester based, our team supports hybrid working, so you could be working in the office, at home or at the client's site depending on your project that day.

Your learning and development are at the core of this programme, so as well as having the support of your team and a coach, you'll also take internal training courses. If all goes well, by the end of the programme you'll have the experience, knowledge and skills to receive a promotion and continue building a great career.

Alongside our programme offering, we give you all the training and exposure to real-world work you could want. We also offer company-wide and programme-specific rewards that make all the hard work worthwhile. These include wellbeing initiatives, a free tech MBA, healthcare support, a pension scheme and more.

This is where your adventure begins and where you have every opportunity to build an exceptional experience. Embrace the challenge as you help us build a better working world for everyone.

What we are looking for

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honour’s degree in Operational Research, Management Science or MORSE (Mathematics, Operational Research, Science and Economics), have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).

We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for people who will succeed at EY today and tomorrow. That's why, through our recruitment process, your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role. We’re also proud to partner with RARE recruitment, so that your application can be processed in the context of your socio-economic background.
