Job description
Successful graduates will begin their FD career working as Service Analysts within application support client engagements, specialising in proprietary and vendor application across a client base. A broad range of training allows graduates to pick up the relevant functional and technical skills to progress their career within application support, service delivery, project management, business analysis, quality assurance and software development.
Graduates will gain front to back office exposure from technical and functional perspectives whilst working with specialist systems, helping to build highly transferable and sought-after skill sets within the Financial Services industry, with the opportunity to specialise in areas of functional expertise such as front office, accounting, collateral management, or from a technical perspective test automation & application development.
Graduates will have the opportunity to work across all areas of a client application landscape through level one and level two support functions, working in areas such as incident, problem and event management, disaster recovery testing, service level management and RTB change projects. In addition to application support exposure, all graduates will undergo in-house ITIL training, an industry standard service management framework providing a structured approach to the provision of IT services, driving client value and success.
In parallel to working with our extensive global client portfolio including Tier 1 investment banks, hedge funds and clearing houses, technical skills and financial knowledge will be developed through our award-winning Capital Markets Training Programme which provides on-going learning and development opportunities, as well as sponsorship of industry wide external accreditations, helping enable accelerated career progression.
What we are looking for
- A passion for learning, with a particular interest in finance, technology and customer service
- Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at different levels of seniority
- Good academic background
- Commitment to the two-year training programme and continual training beyond this, as part of long term career progression
- Willingness to travel to work with our global clients where required.
Qualifications
Strong academic background – ideally ABB or above at A-Level (or equivalent) and a 2.1 degree in computing, computer science, software engineering, mathematics or engineering or a similarly quantitative discipline
