Our Gallagher Reinsurance Achievement Programme (REACH) provides a two-year, tailored development plan, with the aim of accelerating your career in the Reinsurance industry. This programme is unique in the reinsurance industry where you will be mentored, work closely with senior stakeholders in the business and work towards achieving a professional qualification

During the programme you will have the opportunity to work closely with your mentor and subject matter experts making a difference early in your career. Your development will include a multitude of technical insurance and reinsurance models as well as a wider curriculum of professional, financial and client-facing skills training

From natural catastrophes such as flood, earthquakes, hurricanes and pandemics, to technological or political risks such as cyber and terrorism. We bring together advanced analytics, risk transfer and transactional expertise to provide advisory and consultation to client on how their risk portfolios impact performance and execute on those capabilities to deliver improved financial results.

Your role

  • As a Graduate Catastrophe Analyst, you will be immersed in all aspects of front line modelling work for our insurance clients from early in your career
  • Analysis and report preparation for client meetings and pitches
  • Data auditing & cleansing
  • Learning and utilizing catastrophe modelling software
  • Operation of financial modelling software and interpretation of model outputs
  • Real-time reporting and analysis of natural disasters and supporting clients post-event

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 2:1 degree with a numerical element
  • Strong communication skills and the competitive drive to achieve
  • Determined, keen to make a difference and forge a career whilst improving the service of key clients
  • Strong planning and analytical skills are crucial when engaging with insurers and customers alike
  • Accurate with high attention to detail, thriving on outstanding customer centricity
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
