Job description

We are looking for a strong, pro-active marketing assistant who will go the extra mile to generate delegate revenue and help grow the marketing department. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in B2B marketing. The successful graduate will have a passion for business events, excellent copy writing, proofing and Microsoft Excel skills, a good eye for design, a logical mind as well as being very personable with our clients and sponsors.

This job role includes:

  • Database management
  • Managing the websites for our different conferences
  • Writing and designing email campaigns
  • Telesales
  • Online marketing
  • Social media marketing
  • Speaking to senior clients on the telephone and face-to-face
  • Helping to run the conference on the day, assisting speakers, delegates and sponsors
  • Marketing office maintenance – keeping brochures and media packs organised etc.
  • Assisting the marketing manager in all campaign management

Qualifications and experience requirements

Only graduates with a first class or high upper second degree and solid A-level results should apply. You will preferably have a minimum of six months’ office-based work experience (not necessarily within the events industry). We reward hard work and results and make innovation and creativity a key performance indicator.
