Graduate Management Programme (Rail)

Job description

On Go Ahead’s rail management graduate programme you won’t be spending much time behind a desk. Over three job rotations you'll be immersed in all aspects of station and on-board service management alongside project management ensuring you are responsible for all operations elements. From ticketing, to dispatch (safe train departure) to customer care, you can expect hands-on shift work with real responsibility, building up to managing some of the UK's largest and busiest stations, immediately impacting the two-million people travelling on our network each day.

  • Career progression – a senior manager role within five years – on track to be earning £35-40,000 per year

What we are looking for

Key requirements

  • A passion for enhancing people’s lives through public transport and putting the customer at the heart of everything we do
  • Commitment to relocate up to three times during the two-year programme
  • This is a safety critical role so your job offer will be conditional on a health assessment against defined criteria (e.g. vision, hearing, physical health)
  • The unrestricted right to work in the UK on a permanent basis
