Job description

We are looking for a bright, ambitious, recent life science PhD or MSc to introduce into the world of medical communications – ideally, someone who has studied in an area relating to long-term conditions (e.g., cardiovascular disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, inflammation). The successful candidate will join our strong graduate training scheme as part of the medical writing team and follow our development programme to build writing skills and experience across a variety of media on various project activities. Many aspects of the job will be new to you, so you should be the kind of person who is enthused by trying new challenges and learning processes. Both on-the-job internal and external training will be provided.

Person requirements

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate some writing experience and be organised, articulate, conscientious, and confident in presentation skills. The ability to quickly acquire and assimilate new information, convey this through engaging writing and manage your time in response to changing priorities will be key. Excellent communication and research skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other tools such as EndNote would be a plus.
