We are looking for talented and skilled individuals to join our existing team as Staff Proposal Writers. This role primarily involves:
- carrying out background research to build the ‘evidence base’ required to develop credible, informed content
- with the support and guidance of an experienced Proposal Manager, writing strong, detailed and well-structured first draft content
- working closely with Proposal Managers and Evaluators to prepare excellent final content.
You will also be involved in creatively developing client propositions in collaboration with other members of the team and you will play an active role in regular continuous improvement team meetings.
On a day to day basis, you will work in a small team with other writers and the Proposal Managers. The office environment is relaxed and supportive. There will be some team working but there will be a large amount of independent working.
Full training will be provided to help candidates gain an understanding of the sectors we work in and of the work we carry out. This will be provided through a mixture of e-learning, short Open University courses, detailed feedback from the line manager and regular team seminars.
Insequa Ltd is a business support services company founded in 2012. We work in a demanding but interesting and rewarding area of business. We offer advice and support on business growth strategy and regulatory compliance.
Part of what we do is write business documents on behalf of our clients. These may be lengthy business proposals for large contract applications, or shorter business compliance documents and procedures. For this, we employ a team of skilled, professional writers. Successful candidates would work as part of this team.
We are a small company with around 20 members in the team. The working environment is calm, friendly and supportive. We are located on a 1000 acre deer park to the North of Nottingham city in light, high-quality office accommodation. There is free parking on site, free tea and coffee and pet peacocks.

This could include making suggestions for areas of improvement, contributing actively at team meetings or leading one of the regular team seminars.
Qualifications and experience requirements
Candidates will have a 'literate' degree; that is, a degree that has required a high level of writing in the assessed modules and which has led to a high level of proficiency with written communication.
Some awareness of the health and social care sectors would be advantageous, although this is not essential and full training will be provided.

Once through probation, salary will increase to £21,000 p.a.
Our location means that candidates will need to have personal transport. There is no convenient or safe access by public transport. Free parking is available.
