Chartered Accountant (CA) Training Vacancy

Job description

As a Chartered Accountant (CA) you'll have the ability and the opportunity to explore all fields of the business world. From cutting edge technology companies to global financial centres, accountancy firms and government bodies, the CA qualification is your passport to success. If you've got an entrepreneurial streak, becoming a CA also offers the perfect foundation for starting your own business.

Qualifying as a CA gives you a wealth of expertise that applies to all areas of business not just accountancy and finance. You'll hold one of the most prestigious, internationally-recognised and respected professional qualifications available.

To become a CA, you must train for the CA qualification. The qualification is comprised of three levels of exams paired with relevant, practical experience. For graduates, you enter into a training contract with an organisation authorised to train ICAS CA students. You can search and apply online for training vacancies with employers who are now recruiting for their CA training vacancies via our website or by clicking on the apply button.

You can train to be a CA in locations across the UK, with the majority of our students training in England and Wales.

The graduate route to becoming a CA usually takes three years and is organised in the form of a training contract with an ICAS authorised employer (known as an ATO or Authorised Training Office). Entry requirements for training vacancies with ICAS Authorised Employers vary so it's worth checking with the individual employers.

Lots of CA students start training for the qualification once they’ve finished university. It doesn't matter what degree you've studied, as studying to become a CA does not require you to have any previous experience in accountancy or business. CA students come from varied and diverse backgrounds. All you need is a good University degree that meets your employer’s entry requirements. International students are welcome too – just check that your degree has a UK equivalent.
