InterExchange's mission is to promote cultural awareness, knowledge, and global competence among people from around the world through international exchange programs, offering work and training opportunities in the United States and abroad.

Our Camp USA program helps to match enthusiastic young people from around the world with camp counselor jobs in America.

Opportunities

Ever wondered what it's like to experience the magic of working at a summer camp in America? Well, now you can! Being a camp counsellor allows you to grasp every element of the summer camp experience while getting paid to do so. Work in the famously scenic outdoors of the USA, guiding and looking after children of the ages of 5-16. Lead your own sport/activity for the summer, or support others in leading theirs!

What makes us different

InterExchange is an official sponsor of the J-1 visa, designated by the US State Department. You are able to apply with us directly, through no middle-man agency, which is why our fees are kept so low. We also have a powerful matching system to give you the best possible opportunities when trying to find that perfect summer camp job! InterExchange is also the only organisation that allows YOU to choose which camp you would like to apply for!

What we're looking for

Camp USA by InterExchange are looking for fun, hard-working candidates who are interested in working with children at a summer camp in America! Experience isn't necessary, but of course, it does help. As long as you love working with kids, have a can-do attitude and are available for 9 weeks between June and September, we'd love to help you find that summer camp job you've been dreaming about.

Development and career progression opportunities

Camp jobs offer invaluable skill-building, leadership, training, and enrichment opportunities that can't be found anywhere else! Camp experiences allow you to learn and develop skills that will enhance your job marketability. The benefits go far beyond a pay cheque, too. Business leaders often note that experience as a camp counselor translates into excellent management and personnel skills. You'll improve your social, leadership and organisational skills through leading and supporting camp activities. Employers love seeing that people have worked on a summer camp, so this is also a very valuable and attractive piece of experience to have on your CV.
