Roles cover are various of areas within chassis, such as:
Motion Systems: Responsible for integrating mechanical, electronic and software elements of motion systems, optimisation of braking and optimisation of stability control. Using Computer Aided Engineering alongside hardware testing in rigs and vehicles.
SSA: Responsible for the design & engineering of Subframes, Suspension Links, Knuckles & Engine Mounting Systems, designing minimum mass components that meet a complex set of targets, design rules and manufacturing requirements. Use of Catia, AVA tools enables you to do virtual design & test processes
SST: Use a variety of CAE, rigs and whole vehicle tests together with data acquisition and post processing tools to optimise air suspension systems and ensure it works as required under all conditions.
SWAT: Use rigs and whole vehicle tests together with data acquisition to optimise the steering system, wheels and tyres and ensure it works as required under all conditions.
Integration: Create and use multi-body and FEA computer models to optimise axle performance, calculate forces and see how each part of the system moves.
Driving Dynamics: CAE and whole vehicle testing are used to perform final tuning of suspension parameters to optimise ride, handling and steering.
