Job description

An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

Pulses racing. Spines tingling. Throughout our history, our iconic vehicles have delivered some of the most emotive driving experiences on the road. Today, with increasing demand and ever-growing ambition, we’re seeking the next generation of innovators who will capture the hearts and minds of customers in every corner of the world.

Our expanding undergraduate programmes reflect our commitment to finding and developing the future leaders of our business.

What to expect

Getting the right parts, to the right place, at the right time, for the right cost: that’s the challenge for supply chain and logistics.

We have fantastic opportunities for undergraduates to join one of our three specialist teams – Global Material Planning and Logistics, Trading Division or Service Parts. Whichever team you join, you’ll work with a global network of over 1,000 suppliers and our worldwide manufacturing and sales footprint, to ensure we continuously plan and execute the most effective and efficient supply chains in the industry. You’ll manage everything from ensuring the parts we need are available and the right quality; to optimising journey they take to our factories and showrooms.

In our fast-paced environment, you’ll use your logic to make a significant contribution to our continued success, as you ensure our worldwide customer-base receives the premium experience they expect. Working alongside a team as ambitious as you, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to develop your professional skills and supplement your academic studies.

As you’d expect from one of the world’s most revered organisations, an outstanding range of rewards and benefits await those who have the vision and drive to continue our global success – including a competitive starting salary. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover an excellent place to start your journey and put your excellence in motion.

Qualifications and experience requirements

Excellence runs throughout our entire business − and we expect you to be the same. We’re looking for undergraduates who are on track to attain a 2:2 degree classification in a relevant discipline: preferably supply chain, logistics, operations management, engineering or mathematics. We’ll also consider undergraduates who are studying business studies or programme and project management, if your degree includes a substantial quantitative element.

Driven, determined to learn and with impressive commercial awareness − you’ll have no doubts that our Supply Chain and Logistics undergraduate scheme is the next challenge for you. Your innovation and creativity will be challenged every day, as you develop a rigorous and commercially focused approach to your work.

Whatever your role, you’ll discover our dedication to developing excellence runs throughout the business. And, with ongoing support from industry-leading experts, you’ll quickly realise the schemes have been designed to be just as inspiring as the pioneering vehicles you’ll help produce.

This is a 12 month undergraduate placement, commencing late June 2018. Please be aware that our undergraduate placement opportunities are only open to penultimate year students − individuals who will be returning to their final year of study following their placement with us.
