Job description

Janus Henderson Investors is now running its next intake of the Trainee Programme under the Investment 2020 initiative; a scheme put together to create more entry level opportunities in the investment management industry. The Janus Henderson Trainee Programme is looking for school leavers, recent graduates and those looking for a career change to join the business on a short term basis for up to 12 months.

As a Trainee you would be placed in one of our teams for the duration of your contract which enables you to appreciate and understand the team’s function in detail. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills from a mixture of both ‘on the job’ and formal training.

You will gain a first hand insight into Asset Management whilst contributing to the success of the Company. This will be a paid experience, which could either help make future career choices or give the necessary experience for those embarking on their chosen career. For those Trainees who excel it may lead to a permanent role within Janus Henderson.

The success story so far
Launched in July 2010, to date we have recruited 223 Trainees over 18 intakes. Over 90% of Trainees from completed Programmes have gone on to secure permanent roles within the industry.

Our next intake for the Trainee Programme is in January 2018. Opportunities in this intake will be in the following business areas:

  • Media and Design
  • Hedge Fund Investor Relations
  • Pitch and Presentations Assistant
  • Sales Support
  • Sales Support and Technology Specialist
  • IT Service Desk
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
  • Governance and Responsible Investment
  • Internal Audit
  • Investment Research Support (Edinburgh)
  • Business Finance
  • Finance - Accounts Processing
  • HR
  • Compliance
  • Procurement
  • Investment Risk

Applicants may know which area of business they wish to pursue and we will try to accommodate this during the selection process.
