The Janus Henderson Trainee Programme is aimed at recent graduates, school leavers and those looking for a career change to join the business on a short-term basis of up to 12 months. Unlike a traditional rotational Graduate Programme, Trainees are placed in one of our teams for the duration of their contract which enables them to appreciate and understand the team’s function in detail. It is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills from a mixture of both ‘on the job’ and formal training.
Trainees gain a first-hand insight into Asset Management whilst contributing to the success of the company. The Programme is a paid experience, which could either help individuals make future career choices or give the necessary experience for those embarking on their chosen career. For those Trainees who excel it may lead to a permanent role within Janus Henderson.
The success story so far
Launched in July 2010, to date we have recruited 223 trainees over 18 intakes. Over 90% of Trainees from completed programmes have gone on to secure permanent roles within the industry.

What we are looking for
Whilst exceptional academic qualifications are always desirable, we look for individuals who demonstrate a strong desire to learn and embrace a fast paced and dynamic environment. They must be driven to succeed and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a professional environment. We are looking for individuals who genuinely want to make the most out of their time in a leading financial services company and have a resourceful and ‘can do’ attitude.
