At Kaya we offer a wide range of sustainable community development and conservation projects that welcome the help of volunteers from around the world. With a choice of over 150 projects in countries around Africa, Asia, Central and South America, we work with every individual participant to identify the project that is the best match for you, your skills and your interests- ensuring our projects receive the best volunteers to help them. Kaya site directors arrange all your in-country logistics, from accommodation and airport transfers to cultural orientations and 24/7 support thought your programme.
We have volunteer placements where you can work in the fields of environmental, marine and wildlife conservation as well as community development projects, which include work with child care, disadvantaged groups, medicine and healthcare, building, sports development, education, micro-finance, women™s empowerment and many more interesting areas.
Volunteering abroad is a great way of improving your CV, developing new skills, experiencing new cultures and seeing the world whilst making a real difference.
Applicants must generally be over the age of 18 (although we do offer specific volunteer placements available for 16-17 year olds), and have from two weeks to six months available to work. Enthusiasm, patience, flexibility and creativity are the key requirements for any volunteer.

Qualifications and experience requirements
There are no specific qualification requirements for most projects. However, more specialised projects that require the use of specific skills for example healthcare or teaching projects, experience may be required. In this case we would ask for a CV to assess your suitability for the project.
