Kaya Volunteer

Volunteering projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America

Job description

Why volunteer?

Every year thousands of people travel the globe looking to explore new environments and experience different cultures.

As global travel becomes more accessible we look to visit further and more exotic locations and we often discover that the real world is not always easy to uncover, and often visitors don’t get a chance to see beyond the window that tourism offers.

As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to become a real part of the environments, lives and communities of the countries you visit and contribute to their social, environmental and economic development. Whether you choose to work on projects that benefit wildlife, the environment or people, you come away knowing that your work has had a positive impact.

Our volunteers tell us that working on genuine, meaningful and sustainable projects and their time spent living with and getting to know the area and its locals is the most exciting, fulfilling and fun travelling they have experienced. Plus, with an increased focus on work experience from employers, volunteer work can improve your career prospects and add value to your CV.

At Kaya, we pride ourselves on delivering only what is best for our volunteers and best for the communities which we are working with. We offer a huge range of projects across 26 countries and by working closely with a placement advisor, you can find the best project for your skills and interests.

Enthusiasm, patience and creativity are the key requirements for any volunteer. If you choose to use a particular skill, speak to a Kaya placement advisor who can make sure your skills will be well utliised on your project of choice.
