Submission Assistant Industrial Placement

Job description

We are currently recruiting talented undergraduate students seeking a 12 month placement within our Regional Building London team to start in July 2019. The key responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare new graphic layouts for bid submissions, design reports, design boards, displays, PowerPoint presentations
  • Collate all relevant information and ensure it is easily available for bid management, including CVs, project information, company data, references etc
  • Prepare relevant brochures or questionnaires in response to requirements of each specific project or client brief
  • Assist in managing and collating all the submissions, electronic files and paper copies of the submissions
  • Delivery of customer focused, compliant, professionally produced proposals within defined timeframes
  • Co-ordinate and review/edit proposal input from a variety of internal stakeholder’s e.g Project Managers, Directors and Design Managers
  • Compile documents using a variety of software platforms, which mainly include Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (training will be provided)
  • Ensure that all communications, internal and external, adhere to brand, style and messaging guidelines and represent Kier values
  • Assist in the preparation of large presentations
  • Provide business development support by sourcing material for project completion case studies
  • Assist in the collation of information for the production of Awards entries

  • The ability to think on your feet and 'roll up your sleeves' when needed
  • Work proactively with a keen interest in devolving their careers within the Industry

  • Academically you’ll on course to achieve a 2.1 or above on an English, marketing or business related programme
  • A-level English is desirable
  • You should be required to complete a 12 month Industrial placement as part of your degree
