An exciting opportunity to optimise productivity by driving process and product improvement via the design, development and embedding of a data analytics framework alongside operational management techniques.
The successful candidate will be employed by the university but be based full-time at The Label Makers’ premises in Bradford and from time to time at other locations as required. The role is fixed term for 24 months with the opportunity to study a higher degree part-time (fees waived), and a genuine potential of permanent employment with The Label Makers on completion of the project. The university will provide academic and technical support to the project.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships - this full-time post is part-funded by the UK Government’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme. A KTP is a three-way project between a graduate, an organisation and a university. KTP is one of the UK’s largest graduate recruitment programmes and has been placing graduates on challenging, high profile projects for over forty years.

The Label Makers design and manufacture premium self-adhesive labels to some of the UK’s leading brands. The company works across a number of market sectors including beverages, food and household care. To continue to achieve its strategic goals the company is working with the university to develop and embed a data analytics framework to inform and support targeted and tailored processes.
- Good data analysis and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, environments or methodologies
- Self-motivation and the ability to lead and deliver a project
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications and experience requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree* in business analytics/intelligence, operations management/research engineering management or closely related discipline
- Experience of business process improvement or business analysis in a commercial environment
*Applications will be considered from final year students who will have received their final results by the time their employment commences.
