Product Development Engineer - KTP Associate

Job description

This position with a pioneering company and a leading university department is an opportunity for you to make your mark.

The company has identified a need to investigate, research and develop this concept to pre-production level. You will be working at the junctions of materials technology and mechanical engineering.

You will be based at the company site in Hull working directly with senior company staff, as well as receiving additional mentoring support from expert university staff. The role requires a commitment to travel in pursuance of the programme objectives (predominantly between the company and the University).

What we are looking for

Knowledge and experience of engineering design and detailing including appropriate use of IT is essential and a good understanding of heat transfer is desirable. Relevant industrial experience is highly desirable, and you must be pro-active, have excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have a master's degree in materials/civil/mechanical engineering with knowledge and experience of material testing techniques relevant to the project.
