System Architect (KTP Associate)

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work on this joint KTP collaboration between Kingston University and Pangea Connected Ltd.

In your role you will assist in delivering enriched video compression and data transfer techniques to take advantage of 4G+ and exploit the emerging 5G networks. The key focus sectors are emergency services with the objective to also deliver a family of products as the project develops further. The role will focus on two key areas: 5G-enabled emergency communications and video streaming and compression technologies.

This is a 36-month KTP position which not only provides the opportunity to work with both academics and industry but also provides significant training and development opportunities with a budget of up to £2,000 per annum.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of 5G networks and protocols, IETF/ 3GPP related standards and of concept in video streaming and related protocols as well as networks and communication systems.

Knowledge and experience of Object oriented programming C, C++, Java and Javascript, Matlab. Some project management experience is also desirable.


You will have a first degree, minimum 2:1, in computer science or electrical engineering or other relevant degree, as well as an MSc or PhD in wireless communications (preferred) / electrical engineering/ computer science.
