The Graduate Software Engineer will work as part of the exciting development team. Areas of work include the design and implementation of complex software solutions used in the automated or semi-automated testing of complete weapons systems, radars, guided weapons and sub-units.
Other key areas of involvement of the Graduate Software Engineer are Software Design Lifecycle (from requirements capture through to software release) but primarily developing software and assisting in the integration and testing of this software with the target system hardware.
Reporting into the Lead\Principal Software Engineer the Graduate will actively participate in the Graduate Scheme over two years.
Involvement in all stages of the software design lifecycle: - requirements capture, design, code, test, acceptance, release and support.
To follow software Processes and Procedures as defined in the Company Standard Process Framework for software.
Creating high quality and robust code, fully documenting and recording work products, keeping them under configuration management and providing plans and reports on progress to your supervisor.
Assist systems and hardware engineers to integrate the software with the hardware.
Liaison with people from other disciplines would be required e.g. hardware, systems, quality.

- You must be able to satisfy the necessary security clearance for the role applied for and meet a minimum of five years permanent residency in the UK.
Qualifications and experience requirements
- A MEng/MSc or BEng (Hons) / BSc (Hons) at 2:1 or above in Electrical and Electronic engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, is essential.
- A Graduate who has a preference to develop software that predominately interfaces with hardware would be desirable.
