Job description

Why join?
Man Group is committed to being an employer of choice for people from all backgrounds and to ensure their diverse workforce of the most talented people have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We believe in the importance of a meritocratic workplace, where success is based upon talent, commitment, diligence and teamwork. With a network of offices in key locations around the world, Man Group offers the opportunity to work alongside a range of exceptional people in a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, whilst pursuing a successful and rewarding career.

What does the Analyst Programme offer?
Man Group's analyst programme provides a unique opportunity to gain challenging and interesting experience within a performance-driven, global investment management business by rotating through three-four placements within investment management, corporate development and sales over a two-year period. There may also be opportunities to undertake a placement overseas.

As one of our trainees you will gain a thorough understanding of our business and having completed the programme, will be well-placed to develop a long-term career at Man Group. Formal and on-the-job training will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You will also have direct access to Man Group's senior leadership team, as each trainee will be mentored by a member of the Executive Committee.

In the words of our recent analysts:

“The Analyst Programme is providing me with an outstanding opportunity to discover multiple sectors of Asset Management, ranging from Sales to Quantitative and Discretionary Alternative Investments. The highly entrepreneurial environment gives me invaluable exposure very early on and allows me to work closely with experts of the sector. While developing very diverse skills, I am also learning how to perform at the best of my capacity.”

"I have already been given a lot of autonomy in my tasks, which has allowed me to dig deep into the theory while delivering solutions that worked."

"The culture here is extremely open-minded and values proactive individuals. I circulated a summary after attending a hedge fund conference and the President of Man Group, who was interested in one of the ideas I mentioned, replied to my note with some other members of the senior team copied in. That is what sets this Man Group apart - you are judged not on how junior you are, but on the contribution you make."

"I worked closely with a senior portfolio manager who was a passionate mentor, teaching me about all aspects of quant investing. I met so many smart people in this division and what impressed me the most is that they were always looking for the next idea."

“The range of project work and exposure has been astonishing, as has the speed at which you move up the learning curve; in my first week of joining, I was already working on an acquisition, and after several months I was presented with an opportunity to relocate internationally.”
