What does the Analyst Programme offer?
Man Group's Investment Management Analyst Programme provides a unique opportunity to gain challenging and interesting experience within a performance-driven, global investment management business by rotating through a number of placements within Investment Management, Corporate Development, Central Trading, Risk and Sales over a two-year period. There may also be opportunities to undertake a placement overseas.

If you have a preferred investment style, we will aim to tailor your programme accordingly. Our graduates are given the opportunity to opt for rotations in*

  • Quantitative investment teams only
  • Discretionary investment teams only
  • A generalist programme, experiencing a combination of quantitative, discretionary, private markets, corporate development, central trading, risk and sales rotations

*although please note that we reserve the right to allocate candidates based on their abilities

As one of our graduates you will gain a thorough understanding of our business and having successfully completed the programme, will be well-placed to develop a long-term career at Man Group. Formal and on-the-job training will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You will also have direct access to Man Group's senior leadership team, as each trainee will be mentored by a member of the Executive Committee.

What we are looking for

Candidates who can demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in a fast-paced industry. Demonstrating this interest does not necessarily have to be through relevant internships/work experience. In addition, you must be able to show that you have initiative, are keen to learn, and able to show strong analytical skills whilst operating effectively in a dynamic, rapidly-changing environment.

What happens after I have sent my application?

Step 1: Application Review and Psychometric Assessment

Alongside our review of your CV and answers to the application questions, we would also like to find out about your natural strengths and preferences. Therefore, we have partnered with assessment provider Arctic Shores who will invite you to complete a behaviour-based, psychometric assessment. The results of this assessment can be mapped to Man Group’s competencies and motivations.

Once we have reviewed both your application and your assessment scores, you will hear from us by email to confirm whether your application is being progressed. We do receive a high volume of applications so there may be a wait to hear back but we will be in touch as soon as possible.

Step 2: Video interview

The next stage will be a pre-recorded video interview. The video interview should take no longer than 45 minutes to complete and allows us to understand more about you.

The video interviews will be managed by our partner, Sonru Candidates invited to a video interview will receive a personalised email containing detailed instructions.

Step 3: Assessment day

If you are successful at the video interview stage, the final stage will be an assessment day at our City office. We will be holding assessment days on Tuesday, 26 November and Tuesday, 3 December 2019. We will advise you of our decision as quickly as possible following the assessment day.

Important notes
We are not recruiting on a rolling basis. The assessment day invites will be sent out once we have completed the first and second stage of the assessment process, which we anticipate to be in mid-November.
