We develop our specialist software suite (Metapraxis Empower) to provide interactive and forward-looking dashboards and planning tools for decision makers across client businesses. We use Empower in combination with the business understanding of our financially qualified consultants to work with our clients so they can make faster and better business decisions.

Metapraxis is currently looking to recruit a Graduate C++ Developer to join our Software Development team. This role would be suitable for someone who has graduated recently, or someone who has worked in industry for a short while following graduation.

What will I do?
As a developer, you will play a fundamental role in the development of Empower, our specialist software suite. You will be actively involved in the discussions and plans for the architectural and functional direction of the software, and liaise with our consultants, supporting them in IT aspects related to specific client requirements.

You will have a passion for software and technology, and will have graduated with a 2:1 or above in a numerate discipline (such as computing, mathematics or science). You will have picked up experience of coding, programming, or software development either from your university degree, or since graduating, and will be keen to develop your career further.

What we are looking for

  • Understand object-oriented design (OOD) and programming (OOP) at an advanced level, with experience in all areas of the C++ language and standard libraries
  • Understand and analyse business requirements rapidly, devising the most appropriate design for a solution
  • Excellent attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to come up with creative solutions
  • The ability to work rapidly and effectively on individual projects, and as part of a team
  • Confident in putting forward ideas and opinions
  • A passion for new ideas and technologies

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate in a numerate discipline (computing, mathematics, or a science).
