Junior Security Analyst

Job description

The role will be responsible for the cyber security function at Mobliciti. Ensuring compliance against legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations including GDPR and ISO27001 certification. They will be working within an established information security department, to use security as an enabler to be a differentiator for the business to increase profits and drive down risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise monitoring of security events and alerts received from SOC security tools
  • Manage end user reported incidents
  • Responsible for the first line of security incident response
  • Hunt for suspicious activity based or anomalous activity
  • Perform in-depth analysis of log files, systems, and network traffic
  • Maintain a strong awareness of the current threat landscape
  • Create knowledge base articles for handling security incidents and threats
  • Ongoing security management following Mobliciti's documented security framework
  • Deliver security training, awareness and announcements
  • Ensure that security controls are in place and documented and reviewed regularly
  • Be responsible for internal and external audits and preparation
  • Prepare documents for management reviews
  • Manage feedback from stakeholders
  • Monitor hacking attempts
  • Test and implement of security patches
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning and treatment
  • Access control review
  • Supplier access due diligence
  • Address non-conformities post audit
  • Manage disaster recovery, business continuity and availability plan testing
  • Conduct regular reoccurring reviews of GDPR and ISMS documentation
  • Be the incident management function for all operational security issues on a day-to-day basis
  • Obtain and maintain certifications as required

What we are looking for

  • CISSP, Security+ and Network+ desirable
  • Experience with SIEM, Anti-Virus, Access Control, Encryption, Vulnerability scanning
  • ISO 27001 framework
  • Proven to be a high achiever
  • Ability to work to strict timelines and providing a quick turn around when required
  • Technical, analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of network protocols and devices
  • Experience in intrusion analysis and incident response
  • ITIL awareness
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have an enthusiasm and willingness to learn and a positive “can do” approach
  • Self-motivated
  • Like working in a friendly fast paced environment
  • Love to learn and work with exciting new technologies

Qualifications

2:1 and above in a STEM degree or two years+ in a Security or SOC role.
