Our Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT) teams provide support to all Nestle employees and specialise in networks and servers for all our Nestlé sites within the UK and Ireland.
The 12 month placement in IS/IT is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and varied environment that will challenge and develop you.

The IS/IT placement programme allows you to experience a variety of challenging technical and organisational opportunities, giving you exposure across the business, from the factory floor to the most senior management. Working within any of our IS/IT teams involves keeping our employees connected and our systems and data safe, and available around the clock, as well as undertaking critical IT projects. Local application development
In the Local Application Development team your primary emphasis will be on Local Applications support and development, so database and programming expertise is valuable (e.g. SQL Server, MS Access, VB & ASP). You will need to be a strong problem solver, as it will be your job to troubleshoot and solve problems with applications when they arise. As well as this you will have the chance to work on projects giving you exposure to a range of business areas and functions. You will have real responsibilities and the chance to make a contribution from day one. The role can be flexed to leverage your skills and development needs whilst meeting the needs and priorities of the business.
IS/IT customer care
Working within IS/IT customer care you will be a key member of the team providing support to around 11,000 employees across the Nestlé UK and Ireland businesses. The role includes providing first line support, prioritising, documenting, and actively resolving end user computer and application related incidents and requests so they can accomplish business tasks. Within this role you will support a varied range of business functions and employees including factory, corporate, field sales and distribution centres in the use of both Information Systems and Information Technology. No two days are ever the same! This role offers the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of Service Management Best Practices, whilst developing your customer service skills in a busy IT Support role. A placement in the IS/IT Customer Care team provides a great opportunity to gain a broad knowledge and understanding of all areas of an FMCG organisation.
As part of the Technology Solutions Team, your role will be focused on providing service to an organization that operates on a wide array of systems and devices. Your diagnostic and communication skills will be put to the test while providing second line technology support across the company. The role will also involve project work where you can take responsibility for projects working with other business areas or hardware refresh. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with colleagues around all areas of the business supporting an understanding of how technology enhances the company and enables it to be successful.
Security and compliance
The Security & Compliance team supports the Nestlé business to build our reputation and trust with our consumers, customers and stakeholders through the way we behave and do business. In this team you will gain experience of IT Security and Compliance at Nestlé across a range of business and information security subjects; providing an opportunity to build your capability in risk management, end user security, data protection, digital and cloud security and audit management through working with subject matter experts from across the business.
