Exciting times at Nexus mean we are recruiting a Graduate Trainee in Human Resources to join our busy HR team. The opportunities to develop within the role are outstanding. As an HR Graduate, you will provide customer focused comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers and employees in line with our terms and conditions, policies, procedures and legal obligations.
The successful candidate will complete a tailored programme of learning and development within the Nexus group’s HR Department, providing front line advice and guidance to managers and employees to ensure they understand and adhere to all human resources’ practices, policies and procedures. The role will include assisting in the production of data, statistics and other organisation related information to provide internal performance management and business reporting.
You will bring new ideas and current thinking from academia to our business and in return, will gain thorough practical experience in HR leading to potential succession into HR roles which require experience in a bespoke, unionised, transport environment.
The role will be part of the wider Human Resources Team, reporting direct to one of our HR Managers.

What we are looking for
You will be a team player who contributes to the overall success of the department, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, pro-actively marketing, promoting and developing the various services offered by the HR Department in order to maximise their effectiveness and utilisation.
You will already have knowledge of employee relations issues and relevant UK employment law. You will also have experience of producing data analysis using Office software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
We are looking for a Human Resources Management Graduate (or a degree in a related discipline) with a keen interest in new HR ideas and current thinking from your academic studies.
